I picked this up a year or more ago, and lost it; so happy to have found it again!

This manga is good. The plot is well-thought. Nobody can predict how its gonna end. The mystery in this world unveiled little by little. It's still lack the battle scene though. The battle looks so dull. Need work in the gesture and background effect

Somebody asked why this manga works despite having no end-goal in sight and personally I feel it's because of the strength of the character writing and the good dialogue. We are relatively invested in this cast because they aren't a bunch of flat cardboard people placed to advance the plot forward. They have their own thoughts, feelings, ambitions and personalities. Despite the brief nature of their interactions, some of their thoughts about one other really bleed through. Shin and Schnee of course, but also Shin and Girard for sure, and even Shin and Lyonne, or the PC team in town, after we meet them. These interactions all feel like they have value but the dialogue never gets stilted or forced.

If there's a weakness in this, its that I have no real understanding of this kingdom, or the kind of people who live there, which is really unfortunate because that's supposed to be a strength of the fantasy setting, though it's so poorly used these days in isekai. Also, the art style seems to be muted somehow. It's beautiful, don't get me wrong, but it's gray scale, with no thick outlines of anything and sometimes generic monster designs and backgrounds.

I show up for some easy going Isekai, end up loving it and now im in the middle of Light Novel.
Most of the times Light Novel is Highly better then then Manga and Anime, example: Spice and Wolf, DanMachi or Oregairu.
When i droped anime like DanMachi in the middle of Season 2 for LN version cuse plot holes and bad animation or After watching Oregairu Season 1 and 2 i reach for LN and i fall in Love in it. In this Case The NEW Gate is quality in both forms, i might say Reading this enrich the Light Novel Version, qulity of the art here is better then LN so when i read it I see it thru Manga Version

So, i recommend this one, I enjoy it. i didnt find any flat characters everyone seems well crafted even if someone show up just for 1 or 2 Chapters
