This looks like quite the sweet type of "isekai" type manga. I like how the first thing the main character thinks of doing is selling off his items to help out the NPCs even if they are just part of a game. Guy seems really empathetic, just burnt out.

At least in the few chapters that I read, there was no interaction with his family so I can't be sure.

Though given the event in this chapter + his attitude in the finale, I'd say yes it did get better.

Ever heard about asking for help on Reddit? he could technically ask for things that a god would say and send more feasible things to the people in-game. There is also like supposed to be a full-page he can utiles if he was to compress knowledge about how something works then he could teach them how things work or could be made, like making a crossbow or a gun if he gets the correct blueprints.
