@Kampfarsch The miners who used to live there probably left in a hurry so they only took thing they can carry. I mean sure metal pots r expensive but travelling light when there r monsters on the prowl is much preferred. Kinda same of taking only the bread and leave the gold when ur in the middle of a forest infested w/ feral wolves. Besides those guys were miner so they could just carry some gold and sell it later to compensate for leaving their metal utensils behind. Risking to carry a heavy metal pot to slow u down on travelling is not worth it. Seeing as they left the pot means they probs just left on foot in a hurry.
