Would be better without the love triangle hanging over things, and furthermore the chemistry between the leads is only sort of there, and it doesn't really resolve any problems, it just kind of ends

Honestly, in the end I'm convinced this is kind of awful. Decent moment-to-moment execution, but to what end? Feels like there's not much heart to it in the end, nor does it have anything to say. Who wants to read a romance like that?
