ENCHANTED with a barrier? Yeah, no. You have established that players exist. You have established that status screens exist. You have established that some of them have "unique abilities". You have NOT established that MAGIC exists in this world that can be described as enchantment. There is a difference.
Maybe it's just one person's unique ability? No explanation. Zero. This is just tossing crap in because herp derp, it's easier too just use tropes than to build a world.
Also, what is this pretending to be on a call crap? We saw in an earlier chapter that he can silently/telepathically communicate with them. When he was in the perpetual dungeon and in front of other people, he still communicated with Rue. When he was in the auction. Why pretend to be on a call?
