Mitch McConnell has been despised by the average republican voter for decades. he has talked down about trump whenever he is given the opportunity but he will remain none the less because the voters in his state like him and thats all that matters.
the republican party allows space for descent you are allowed to hold your views with little political repercussion for better or worse. thats why we have so many rinos like mitt romney
