Its basically young Latinos wanting to "colonize their colonizers," ie. soft-colonize the US.
There's a reason to actually take this seriously because the US will bend over backwards to defend them.

I’m a Jimi Hendrix style individualist with populist leanings in favor of unrestricted freedom of expression and limited power from corporations and the government. The dems literally aren’t giving me any of that.
I didn’t support Trump until all the stuff about the election came out and I reflected on his policies for the last year as opposed to how he was treated, and came to the conclusion that he’s more likely to cause the liberal change I want than anyone else in politics is.

You know I think gun owner ship shouldn’t be allowed by civilians. This is both a mix of the rim world play in me knowing the huge step up any gun is from melee weapons and me as a person not liking people own lethal and easy to use weapons. Also @tamerlane I’m gonna have to almost agree he was like a horrible abomination of a liberal and conservative. Anti Lincoln would be the best term. Ironically enough he was both the most radical conservative and liberal at the same time we’ll probably see for a very long time. At least in talk

I do wonder though, with Scandinavian countries' culture/legal/prison system; if they made it legal to bear arms and had the castle law would the crime rates increase substantially.
And in reverse America no longer had those laws would the crime rate similarly be adjusted within 3 years? Or would only very low percentage of the Scandanavians hobbyists enjoy the new freedom and a high percentage of Americans smuggle and conceal their weapons.

I take umbrage at the phrase “Anti Lincoln” because Abraham Lincoln is one of my heroes, and I’m a pure blooded Yankee at heart. There’s a reason I post Sherman memes whenever I see the Confederate Flag.
Also, I think banning gun ownership is a really bad idea because it is the duty of a well armed population to keep the government and bourgeois in check. Plus prohibition historically doesn’t really work very well because it doesn’t change the demand for the product or remove the weapons in circulation. (Hence why a lot of gun violence occurs in areas that have gun control legislation like Chicago, which indicates that it doesn’t really affect criminals all too much.)
Other than that, Enlightened Centrism my dude. The truth doesn’t fall along partisan lines.

My one statement on guns that usually makes people mad is; Explain to me why you have the right to tell me what I can and can't do to protect myself if you aren't affected.
Obviously there are some common sense barriers to that. I can't fill my doors with Tanerite to prevent someone from breaking in, and I can't pre-emptively shoot people because they 'may be a threat' but that goes for everyone.
The fact is, trying to limit or ban guns is the same busy body Karen nonsense that Prohibition and the War on Drugs.
