@c72k but that's because WE don't know her family. She does. She had a good relationship with them and lived with them for 17+ years. Again, I get that she loves Noah, but choosing a man that you've known for a few months over the your own family - your parents who raised you and took care of you for all your life - seems like the stupidest thing. She even confirmed that she would have been accepted into college.

At first I was conflicted, but now I feel that this decision was utterly stupid. As well as that, why would the author include a past family if they had absolutely no significance at all other tha to choose Noah over them? She doesn't even seem to miss them that much despite them playing a very active role in her past life. I don't know, I love this manga, but this ending is gonna leave a bad taste in my mouth.

Most readers be complaining like "why did she choose Noah over her past family and life?" and I get it and I feel like asking why too but let's just accept it guys...its always lover over family or love over life in very romance fiction lit.

@bennett27 you say that but it is not uncommon for people to move out when they get married and rarely if ever see their family. It happens.

On top of that the MC is wary of the goddess, so she probably doesnt want to poke a hornets nest. Cause for all she knows she will go back but in another body or as a coma patient with a broken body. The age old, be careful what you wish for.

This is also why she probably asks the goddess that stupid question, cause she doesnt want whatever the goddess says to dictate her life if she asked something serious.

I guess this is one of those instances where experiences somewhere else has changed a person so much that they might not really fit into their old life anymore. Maybe she figured that she can't tell her family the whole truth of what happened to her if she decided to return home (would anyone believe it?) and thought living with herself so changed while not being able to share so much of herself with them would be painful in a way too. Meanwhile she has build up new connections with a new family and friends and her lover who she shared everything with, who accepts her and who knows about her past and what happened to her (and knows she even killed someone).

Of course that doesn't make the choice easier, and she said she could regret this in the future but she made her choice now.
Plus she might not trust what the goddess might do anyway.

Honestly I can see where she's coming from about not being able to go back. It seems like she's already built so much of her life in this world. It's sad that she can no longer be with her family, but I guess every choice does have a sacrifice.

I can respect choosing your new life with your husband over your old family. She's been through so much in this world that it became her new home. Through all the difficulties and uncertainties, Noah was there for her. It's just really unfortunate that she won't see them anymore.

Yea, he is the brother of the current king/emperor (I forgot his name). He helped his brother become the king/emperor and stepped down to be Duke to support his brother. It was explained early in the story.
