@JustAMerePleb don't you see that he's actually slashing them apart with the intention to kill and there's even blood but it seems the sword have a weird effect that rendered his attack null. He's even confused why his slash didn't work.
Oh god it is another black hair and eyes japanese are the devil isekai
Maybe that dumb ass God should have said, as her complaints about japs means he wasnt the first
@Kuraiaku he could break their necks you know, or just push them down the hole. The sword is spoiler territory so I won't focus on that but I can ensure you that
he don't want to kill people, regardless of what they do
@JustAMerePleb Give him some slack, he actually cut them without holding back with the initial intention to kill, it's not his fault if they're still alive while he's confused about the sword's mysterious properties and they ended up getting killed on their own. I've read the web novel raws up to the latest update from syosetu though and yeah some hints have been dropped later but at this point in the story, he's still completely unaware of it. About he doesn't want to kill people :
he stabbed Phillip with the sword in rage, doesn't he? Though he actually didn't die, at that point he's fine with killing people. Only after that, he decides to try to restrain himself. Also, most of his enemies are monsters, he doesn't actually have much hostile encounter with people, If I remember right up until the latest web novel raws he only fights other people briefly twice/trice.
I am a deeply religious person and I will tell you the vast majority of us do not act this way at all. Not even in ancient times did the majority of us act this way.
Study, early Catholic church history. They shocked the world with how kind and generous they were compared to the rest of the world. There are fanatics out there to be sure, but they are few and far between.
If I had a vision of an angel come to me and tell me to kill a person I can already tell you that both me as an individual and my church would automatically condemn such a "vision" and anyone who did as the so-called vision told them to do.
Religion is a completely different thing from a cult or superstition.
