Wait, the backstory of the original Seraphione is basically very similar to Ardyn's backstory from FFXV... Maribelle (just like Ardyn's brother) takes all the glory while being regarded as a saint/hero, take away Seraphione's important people (fiance prince and Roux), and condemn Seraphione for being villainous when she's just fulfilling her role (just like Ardyn fulfill his role with a cost).
Gosh, justice for Seraphione!!
I've never played any otome game before, but is it actually common that the non-H otome game main character is a mistress/side-chick that has options to go after capture targets who are already in a relationship/engaged? It appears to be quite the common theme in the otome game/novel isekai 'villainess' mangas though...

I'm more of a JRPG fans so I don't really have much experience in playing dating sim games, that's why I don't really know if mistress MC is a common theme in otome games. Now that I know at least it's actually more of a manga shoujo trope than it's an otome game trope, I feel more relieved because I wouldn't really support a romance that that requires an MC to tear a relationship apart as a side chick, that's just not true romance to me lol. I'd be fine with it if an MC pursue the capture target after the relationship is already broken apart without MC's involvement or the target's partner is dead like the example you mentioned. Thanks for the info!
