There is a good reason she was the only relatable one in the hero's team: she still thinks even in though situations.
Not sure how much is rationalization, but it seems she 1. agrees to join as a way of spying on Karna and 2. thinks there might be a chance he's trying to assassinate the demon lords.
So cats are a bonus, but it seems she didn't just lose her mind over them.

(As a side note, of course are demons. How is that not common knowledge?)

I could only imagine in one dungeon room are filled with demon cats charming all humans making it into a dangerous room or even a boss room full demon cats, immune to demon but not humans.

Edit: What is the ultimate weapon to use against the human, is it powerful demons, is it spells of mass destruction, NO!, it is these really adorable demon cats that will make humans turn into cat lovers.
