The reason he passed out is because he flashed back to watching his mom die. She was a stuntwoman and got offered to do a role on one the last drama Maru performed in. She died in an accident on-set and Maru saw it happen, hence the PTSD.

@onionskins Maru's going to perform at the Confession Festival and pretend to confess to her before appearing to change his mind and reject her in front of everybody. He's still friendly with her because both he still likes her and he doesn't want her to catch on to the scheme.

This is what I think, Kuroha has a bad hidden motive, Kachi likes Maru (obviously) and she's actually his childhood friend, Abe senpai likes Kuroha so he and Kachi pretend to be a couple. It's all part of their plan?
