Hasn't she been working for months at the institute, producing a huge amount of +50% grade potions? Yet she can't afford a single hair ornament, despite not really using her money for anything in her daily life. They are apparently paying her a disgraceful salary, despite alchemists apparently being rare and healing potions obviously highly valuable in a society like that. Still, it's also her own fault for not demanding a salary worth her skills. Quite strange considering she was a working adult back in her original world.
