As far as I remember the head magician went into comma because of the summon saint technicque which required a lot of mana (queue generic isekai magic system explanaition that is not on the light novel) and thus had to rest untill the mana was usable again? he recovered his senses? or something like that

besides the point but just in case this extra chapter is just before the head magician awakes

This does not feel like and extra or bonus for Volume 2, but the proper conclusion of chapter 6. After reading this "extra" the King's attitude toward Sei during his conversation with Sei in chapters 8.2 and 8.3 make much more sense because we have explicit information about the speculation, by the king and other high officials, about Sei being the Saintess instead of the implicit assumption we had to make before.

@CivD666 : This scene is in the web novel, and light novel. The series has them occasionally showing other characters viewpoint on Sei's accomplishments and notable events. Most labeled "Behind the Scenes", and include some interesting tidbits like they thought Sei was sick from the summoning because she collapsed after they brought her to a room, not realizing that if being morning for them did not mean it was morning for her.

I wonder if them being worried about people targeting her is related to why they have a blackout on saintess info. Like people started grabbing up anyone that met the description in order to abuse their power, causing them to not develop the power.

Great idea, edgelord. She had no idea how to use any power at that point. What, do you want a normal ass office lady to murder a bunch of magic users before they can fight back? Sounds like a great way to get put down like a dog in the best case scenario. More likely, they'll use magic to subdue her and possibly even enslave her. I'm sure you're not in any better position than her in that situation either.

It was a pretty dumb move tho to let her enhance that legendary item in front of those mages in the institute seeing how loose-mouth they were. She could end up being kidnapped and sold off to other countries just for that even if they haven't found out she's the saintess
