@Druidacious It only wasted any time because you chose to stop by the comment section for part one of your own accord? Chapter transitions are about the same as page transitions.
When you clearly summoned two people, and instead of even wasting a single second being confused you simply automatically assume the cuter one to be the one you want.
@Glomoro technically, if you have slow internet (like I have had for a long period of time) it’s more preferable to have all the pages in one chapter then load it in one long strip so that the other pages load while you’re reading which doesn’t work if it’s in different chapters. Going page by page is very frustratingly long and so I get where Druidacious is coming from.
@Isekailoverrr Does reader settings, preload images help at all across multiple chapters or just in one? I've never played around with that setting myself but I knew it was there from dicking around with the other stuff.
@Glomoro Oooooo, I’ve actually never noticed that before. Honestly, my internet has gotten faster that it either just doesn’t load or it does, instead of me staring at a screen for several minutes for a single page to load since last year, so I wouldn’t know how to test if the preload images helps anymore so I don’t really know.
I don’t usually look around the reader settings and reading in a long strip has worked well enough for me so at least thank you for helping me discover something new :)
If you use other sites, is this something only mangadex has, or have I been overlooking a great feature all this time? T-T
@Isekailoverrr I'm not gonna say no other readers have any of these settings, but I don't think even a quarter of what we can change in this one is an option on other sites I've used. Mangadex is by far the most customizable one I've personally used. My backup aggregator for series not on here just has the option you mentioned in the first place here, whether to load one page at a time or sort of "longstrip" them. The site I check western comics on sometimes has that and a toggle between HQ and LQ images, which is just a change in the image overall size from "this is kind of too big" to "this actually looks like a physical comic book page."
