/Hint: it's directly related to this chapter and not that other word.

The characters’ romance don’t feel genuine. My main problem is the guy is the one trying to rekindled the relationship. The female character is just there not even doing anything in these chapters.

I...do not like the guy at all. I kinda wanna see the love rival just to see how bad the author's gonna make him.

@franky09
That's because he really was a dick and now trying to change himself, Nao had somewhat move on because she done it.

@DirkHardpeck
Well, we can't really fault him on that part though, just the method he tried to convey

@Freestyle
Bruh, trust me, it hits you, it hits you hard in the heat of the moment and then BAM, you broke up for some stupid reason and can't go back

Sounds like she was being like his mom. Ofcourse there is nothing wrong with it. We only see kouhai get into awkward situations and blurt stuff out, I kinda wish Senpai also did it a little.

@slime_sleeper In my opinion from what we know so far, I don't think Doubayashi is completely at fault or an asshole. From the book and souvenir chapters Nao seems like she can be really demeaning.

I could easily see a situation in their relationship where he's overworking himself to the point of being seemingly uncaring in the relationship because he just wants her to acknowledge how hard he works.

But instead all she seems to do is criticize him and cut him down, so it starts this feedback loop of >Get Criticized>Work Harder>Repeat

@slime_sleeper if it does in my opinion your relationship was pretty weak to begin with anyway

it would make sense if they were high schoolers not adults

This NIshimura dude is like the complete opposite of Tadano, who perfectly reads the atmosphere.
