The Skeleton Soldier Failed to Defend the Dungeon - Vol. 1 Ch. 17

Wait, so he canonically melted because of the heat? Is it really so hard to look up the effects of heat on bone?

@Geurjakha I'm guessing the powder he covered himself with actually reacts to the heat. So instead of protecting himself from it, it melted him. =/ That's why he tossed it at the blacksmith, but he didn't melt. If he had used the flame-thrower though...

Nah man, the author's correct. Bones have internal sweat glands within each of their pigments. It's why everyone knows that if you cook meat, it literally slips off the bones ---because the bones sweat so much. And bone marrow? Fuck that, it's a made-up urban legend.

Damn stupid skeleton, hes going to come back to find her dead....
@Operatix im fairly sure thats exactly whats going to happen.

@relic626

I've actually reread the whole manhwa and the funny thing is, that she didn't die once before. She almost got killed by the arrows and Sir knight in shining armor, but the skelly died before she did. The next thing is the venomous bite of the spider, she didn't die (but probably would have), because our skelly MC melted before her. So technically she never died even though she would have, if our MC lasted like a few minutes longer.

Hopefully it all works out this time. He could have asked her to stand guard instead of knocking her out though.

@GerryCerryBerry

She is the current person he's protecting you consider her dead once MC dies. This is another reason why he doesn't reset to the beginning since the current necromancer is blondie.

@relic626

Still doesn't change the fact, that she indeed didn't die once before. Of course she wouldn't survive without MC, but it still stands that she never died. It it is also stated that only the system recognizes her as his necromancer even though she doesn't have any kind of necromantic powers that we know of.

What I mean is, even though you say that she is considered dead , she didn't actually die, even though she is acknowledged as his necromancer by the system, she isn't technically capable of any necromancy(that we know of yet). So I'd really like to know you reasoning, why she should be considered dead, once the MC dies? Are these only your assumptions or facts, that could be proven by referring to specific manwha chapters/pages?

@GerryCerryBerry
In all those situations she would have died shortly after. Not sure why you guys nit picking the manga is going good enjoy the shit man.

so assimilation rate is how much "morality" the skeleton has left. 100% means that he can continue to live with humans and 0% means he became a monster right?

"I want her to be safe so I'm going to leave her completely exposed at the entrance" uhhhh......this doesn't seem like it will turn out well.

It isn't a good option to just leave her there... something might happen!!!
And you just took a sword?? you should've taken something other than that too!!!!!

I'm fully a fan of this manga now. The deathes are realistic and don't feel cheap, and the betrayal are not obvious or silly. He died because he lacked information and trusted someone he had no reason to distrust. He is also not using his ability as a cheat as he does not know if he can keep doing it.

I'm going to laugh way too hard if he comes back and she's dead where he left her or something. Skeleton Soldier Couldn't Protect Anyone or Anything, fade to black, Fin

Yes, just leave her knocked out outside the dungeon you're about to set ablaze
