It picks up from childhood when she finishes eating. Most of the story is based in their childhood, but there's some chapters from 10 years down the road.

I figured it'd be like that, but kind of hoped it wouldn't. Nothing wrong with the journey, but I have a feeling it's going to get drawn out more than I'd like. We need to cover 10 years that only cover meet to mutual crush. Maybe, though, it'll be awesome like that "My Perfect Girlfriend" series that seems to span years in ~15 chapters.
