Been curious, but are the right time increments being used? Seems odd that she'd manage to do various experiments, learn how to do high rank summons she didn't have enough mana for to learn, help fight and beat the demon king's army, and manage to use an experimental procedure to artificially increase mana (drastically shortening her life in the process,) all within one year. Also, Duke Narcissus said he'd been waiting days for her to show when it'd been hours, granted could've been sarcastic but doesn't seem like it. Since he was considered incompetent before she used her power for summons and won the war for him and seems to use his rank as an excuse to do whatever he wants and punish anyone who dares complain he seems too spoiled to have really developed the intellect for it.

@JWChibi It's not she thought her love would change him, but that her devotion and efforts would get him to acknowledge and love her in return. She didn't realize back then that the reason he was interested in her summons was to make himself look good for her efforts, that he looked at her not as a piece of meat to indulge his own carnal desires like many other corrupt nobles wasn't because was interested in her as a person but because is gay, she looks like his love Tristan, and could use her to look good, avoid stigma from not being married, and have an excuse to see Tristan without arousing suspicion.

Wow. He was always obnoxious, it seems. How was he even able to win her affections the first time? Just by virtue of not being into what she has packing?

If you don't treat someone's love as special, then it stands to reason that they have no reason to treat you specially out of love.
 
@sugararirang a person can be both a duke and a baron, but it would be in different territories, meaning they could be duke of territory a and baron of territory b. this is what confuses me too, because if a person has multiple peerages they would be called by their highest rank (I.e. if our resident blonde douchebag were both a duke and a baron, he’d never be referred to as baron, he’d only exclusively be called duke). So I’m really confused as to what gaspal’s actual rank is too :/
