The Story of Hatsune Miku

Wow, I was so into vocaloid when I was in high school. I might enjoy this.

What if you already knew Miku as a cool instrument before you knew about the character though

The viewers in nico nico dwindled every year
Now it considered good to have 100 viewers

Having been part of the vocaloid community for over a decade, knowing that its popularity has dwindled, and seeing most of my favorite artists have moved on to different projects: this chapter really hurt.

This brings back so many memories ;w; gosh i've been listening to miku since 2007 and now that I'm an adult I feel sad knowing that voca songs aren't that popular now ;w; they don't release that much voca songs anymore ;w;

Yesterday a friend of mine posted a vocaloid video, and we all went on a nostalgic trip by recalling our favourite vocaloid videos. I actually forgot about her till yesterday, big coincidence that I found this manga the day after.
Now I feel sad and guilty

This is pretty sad since I've only started listening to vocaloid recently when it's dying. And that's on YouTube, not Nico Nico so whatever is happening there is alien to me.

I wouldn't say Vocaloid is dying. It may not be as popular as it once was but Vocaloid still has a large and dedicated fandom with many active communities, as well as new fans each day and several live concerts a year that get sold out pretty quick.

I'm relatively new to Vocaloid and from what I can see, things will last for quite a long while. Regardless, I choose to enjoy the years of accumulated content and perhaps even add my own. Who knows, things may even rise back up again. As said in Sand Planet, things are in the hands of the next generation of fans.
