@BloodyLlama , @MrEd - the manga has "slice-of-life" tag. Such stories don't have much in the way of pacing. It's just a log of everyday life with demon sub-bosses having a rivalry with archwizards, slaying hill-sized boars before breakfast and so on.
If you're the sort of person to care about pacing, I recommend reading a bunch of chapters at once.
