Solitary confinement for 10 years + no bright colors/variation in scenery + constantly attacked/on the verge of death + same basic food all the time + only useful thing is broken + constantly mocked with suicide option.

Salute the really strong man here. Most would've caved to the suicide option after 3-10 setbacks.

7 YEARS? Holy fuck. Nobody would normally get that much real combat training, not a surprise he would be the "sword king". Its not like he was swinging a sword at a post or something, he was fighting beasts, beasts DESIGNED to make him better. Every. Day. For 7 years. Thats fucking intense. I like it.

Actually, drinking blood instead of water is NOT recommended. It contains too much iron which will be poisonous if you only drink blood.
