.......I don't and will never understand how when a father neglects his children he can just do a 180 and all is well it ends well. He will be forgiven by the child he neglected and well it ends with fluff. I always don't get it. If he truly cares he would ask about their situation and do something. Since other royals and their father didn't know their situation and now they act all nice to them, it means that they should be forgiven and are kind? No! That doesn't mean that they should be forgiven at all! I can never understand the act of forgiving the father who neglected and never cared about them just because he gives them some luxury. I never understood that shit. There are many stories with a lot of bad fathers but all of a sudden because the father started to pay attention to their child and starts caring for them everything is well. I never and will ever understand such bullshit! I do know how it feels to not have contact with your father from an early age and then all of a sudden he calls! How do I feel about that you may ask? Nothing, nothing at all. So I can't understand why they're always forgiven. The same for other stories like 'Who made me a princess', 'Daughter of the emperor' the father in this one is messed up to the core I don't know how so many people like him after killing so many of his children, the only one he didn't kill is the mc. Why? Well to me it's cause she's the mc. But truly don't know how so many people are so okay with him. Well, whatever. And there are many more stories that have other shitty fathers but, i won't name them all.

@ariria most of the time, the reasons are pretty shallow. Some wont admit it, but if a character is hot and on the good guys side, people tends to forgive them easily. Sometimes they set themselves up to forgive hot guy whose first impressions are a scumbag/asshole before the story gave any hints that the character have hidden reason being an asshole. "Omg i cant wait until 'hot guy A' reveal to be a good guy all along." So they'll take any BS that will justify the Hot guy bad deed. I was almost baited in the fluff in 'Who made me a princess' because i love parent-child dynamics.

@Ariria its because Korea and a lot of Asian countries are deeply patriarchal misogynistic [not that western countries are perfect but Easter countries don't bother to hide the way they feel]. The feminist movement in korea is pretty new as well google : spy caming/ lookism and escape the corset in korea. Their is also a lot of femicide, where families will encourage the murder female babies or abortion of female children resulting in low female populartion - this issue is called "the missing woman problem" in the west.[ I know abortion is a controversial topic in the west/but the idea of a baby =fetus is a very catholic western idea, and isn't always the same in eastern countires]. The issue in many Asian countries is purposefully targeting the unborn just for being female to be eliminated. I know a few countries had to make checking the sex of the baby before delivery illegal because of this.]

Bad female character or even annoying female character get killed or punished, men get away with it...just like real life. feel free to look any of the things I said, sorry to get all dark and serious. I agree with you 100% and its upsets me too. Looking up the bad treatment of woman and social views will explain the concepts you see in comics. Art imitates life and all that ~


Unfortunately their are lot of people that give the male character a free pass because they are "hot" or " feel sad uwu". I had a conversation with one of these types before and its really infuriating how they can excuse abuse so much.
