The Unsuccessful yet Academically Unparalleled Sage ~A Cheating S-Rank Sorcerer's Post-Rebirth Adventurer Log~ - Vol. 1 Ch. 2.6

@Hikarie Did you not read the beginning? He got Isekai'ed and chose Persistence and Reincarnation, clearly meta gaming. He then reincarnated after dying and chose nothing but unexpectedly kept his past abilities.

Face it man, you won hand-to-hand, but lost to the sword.

Even though this is your 3rd good shot of World Traveling, and magic has gone down 1 tier, you still are living.

I would've given a fail mark right there. You said using magic to win has no meaning, which means you want to win with a sword. But you didn't win with a sword. You cheated. Accept that you're still inadequate and use that to justify further training.

If you're weak in Math, you still can't answer a Math test with Literature. "Shall I compare thee to a binomial theorem, thou art more crass and gay" is not the answer to "Find the length of c". Similarly, winning using grappling moves is not the way to win a swording examination. You can use grappling moves for an advantage, but winning with it means you're not winning with your sword.

Lol so now plus rebirth it is an Isekai story. @Aichan yeah he lost in using swords, he did win under the close combat category though.

@metasepia dude, don’t be a jackass and do your research. The publisher is the one splitting the chapters. In fact, they have been doing that for every series under their wings.

@Aichan
The reason I would have given the pass is because of how good he is at swordsmanship at his age. I think it's not the flip that caused the final decision but the skill he showed during the entire fight along with the mental skill to realize he needed to use the flip to win. Realizing the potential is what I think caused him to pass him.

OK look like his memory is still hazy no wonder why he act like a brat and look like magic swordman is his way since he have no compatibility in any element but can control magic and strengthen his physical ability
@Fari we still don't know what actually compatibility is. Is it make you use that element easier or make that more powerful if it add more power base on compatibility then mc waste his whole life on 2nd life even in this era he op AF but if he switch to magic swordman he might be more op on 2nd. who know let see which way will this series go

@stal2walk I mean his compatibility doesn't really matter, anyways, he can still cast spells way stronger than anyone else in the modern times. It's just a "haha the actual OP guy is viewed as lacking by other people til he does anything" trope.

But yeah, definitely looks like it's going the magic swordsman route even though just pure magic he's stupidly strong.

So he has no desendents, but still born from one of them? And he had a Life on Earth prior.
Does that make this Isekai + reverse Isekai ...
Theres no Isekai in the title. So meaby it's the Earth al along, so simple time travel?

uh, there's a reason they separate people through weight class in the real world

the dude is too heavy to be flipped, just saying.

"to think it would be useful in a place like this"
Wtf bruh, so you were from Japan before and learned some Martial arts and didn't use em with magic? I guess you were really tainted off track by that skill that increases your determination. Too determined to magic realizing that you've forgotten some very useful stuff in the modern world.
