which part is cheating actually? Thunder magic was his own magic and he pushed the magic to the very limit. did he get another free skill from the god/goddess when he reincarnated?
@Kyxr Well it's not really cheating is more or less a new game+, but still, for the other players that can also be seen as cheating, because he got an unfair advantage over other people, but yeah in this case is just a ng+, which sounds less cool than cheating I guess.
No this series actually releases this slow, it's not the translator at fault. The raws come out at a painfully slow pace (they release it in very short abrupt parts).
The MC is dumb as shit. He could have stepped up so much sooner with his knowledge. It annoys me so much to read these types of mangas where the MC lets people close to them die just because they want to appear weak.
All these people saying "oh the MC is a pussy" do you ever think about what comes next if he were to show off from the start? He even said it himself at the start that he doesn't want to be seen as a monster and would like to get to be the strongest with his own power which granted he has from his previous life BUT he still want's a somewhat normal life and he can't do that when literally everyone would fear him or want to kill him.
@Valla This "somewhat normal life" is the reason things become nonsensical. At this point all it looks like is Ephthal let someone suffer for the sake of concealing his abilities. Yet he displays all those emotions at their demise. In other words, Ephthal prioritized concealing his power over helping someone he - as indicated by his emotional outbursts - cared about. If he is in fact not a "pussy" (being afraid of others shunning him), then he is either too dumb to realize he could help OR has enough selfishness to put more than a few bonafide villains to shame.
Bottome line: author made a mockery of the character with their overuse of clichés, as tautological as that sounds.
