It actually went in a different direction than I had imagined, I thought she would be discovered already at chapter 2
But they sharing a surprisingly cute backstory, well, for the prince at least, unfortunately for him, this was totally one sided and Cecilia only see doom when she thinks of him...

@Athedite I don't think we should blame the crown prince. Because
1. He only saw her 12 yrs ago. So there is no way he can recognise her now.
2. Her cross dressing so good that everyone thinks she is a guy. Also because most of them don't know what Cecilia looks like.
3. This a common troupe in manga/manhwa with mideval setting.
Noble ladies/girls would give embroidered handkerchief to their family, if it's outside their family it would be their lover/fiance or really close friends(mostly girls). Even if they had guy friend they wouldn't give them a handkerchief.
Now the crown prince saw a guy with his fiancée's handkerchief, so there is bound to be misunderstandings.
