Very true, it definitely felt quite long comparatively. Usually it seems to be popular to disperse the history throughout the story unlike in this case.

Although credit to the author, this one doesn't make it a huge information dump by itself (I hate walls of text) but definitely makes it seem more like a longer prologue.
