i'm really enjoying this and the art is super beautiful. but am I the only one whose bothered that the mother looks as young if not younger than Artisea? those scenes of the mother gushing at Lawrence makes her look more like a side hoe than a parent.

and is Lawrence older than Artisea? There's a few instances of a teenage looking Lawrence and a kid looking Artisea together... but Artisea is the daughter from her previous husband...? so the mother had Lawrence with the emperor and then went back to her husband to have Artisea? nani???

this timeline.... yikes.

@minar I believe it was that the Marquis lent his wife to the Emperor for power/wealth/opportunities (something like that) And she became pregnant with the King's child, Lawrence. Afterward I'm guessing the Marquis still knocked her up since they are still technically husband and wife and Artisea was born. So the mother is still the Marchioness not a Empress/Concubine.

@minar I had the same thoughts, especially about the sibings' ages. In earlier chapters I assumed that the brother was just drawn to look older but now the author has confirmed that he actually is older... that's some sloppy writing.
