Hi sorry for asking but why is it bad when a scan takes over a manhwa that hasn't been updated for 4 months?

@Athedes - this is my understanding:
1. This manhwa has already been licensed in English. That's why updates were stopped on MD, but they continued on Sawateam's own website, so you can head there for more info if you want. But usually, once a series has been licensed, its rare for another group to pick it up - out of consideration for the author, and I assume because of legal stuff too.
2. Generally speaking, it's not always bad if a second group picks up a series. I think it's common courtesy for them to try and get an OK from the first group where possible, otherwise it would be considered "sniping" in most cases.
3. For this manhwa, Sawateam have said that they didn't mind another group working on this series. HOWEVER, it's veryyyyy bad to steal Sawateam's (or any other group's) translations and claim that they're your own. That's why chapters 35 and 36 were deleted.

honestly I couldn't care less that the other scanlation team moved the chapters to their website, the annoying part is that MD is my main site to read manga, and seeing as there are many scanlation groups who decided to only post chapters on their website after growing a fanbase on MD is really disingenuous regardless of the reason. Now I have to spend so much extra time organizing different websites for different manga/manhwa which just makes the process of reading manga so much more tedious, it's no surprise that people turn to aggregator sites if they have to sit through sorting out updates on 20 different scanlation websites just so they can enjoy reading the manga they like. At the end of the day only the readers lose time and ease of access.

@vexxar not to be offensive but sadly the world doesn't revolve around you. and no, this isn't a personal attack. your words make it sound like you paid them for their services . they're volunteers and in my opinion should be allowed to post wherever they want. i understand the annoyance as i often have to switch websites and it makes it somewhat less organized, however scanlators owe us nothing and are paid by no one. i think we should be grateful that we're getting a fan translation in the first place. i believe that the slight inconvenience would be nothing compared to the fun you get from reading this series. good day.

@ariviiaa I wouldn't have had a problem with that if they didn't post on MD in the first place, they are free to post wherever they want but if you start posting on this website, should you not continue to do so as long as you are scanlating the series, considering the fact that their entire readerbase was built on this platform. Sure I don't pay them but I can at least give some criticism. No need to throw shade.

way she’s treating Cedric like a tool or pawn in her plan is just upsetting. He’s such a good and kindhearted character, he deserves someone that will treat him with the same respect. Maybe I’ll pick it back up if I hear it’s improved. If they worked together it might change my mind.

she tried hard to not fall in love with him, compare to your words she's actually the one who think she deserved to be treated like tool and willingly to do the dirty jobs while Cedric only need to be himself; she created barrier and she wanted to redeem her mistake for supporting her brother and mother that believed "in the end it's family..." as her mother said it to her and her brother; not to mention she also regret for her past related to the saint-like woman who she forced to marry her brother for political issue and judging from the past she thought Cedric was in love with that woman and still do in the current one. She didn't want to entangle with feeling because she's sorry for both of them and thought those two were suitable for each other as ruler. Rather than taking revenge for the betrayal, she's focusing on being the key of the tragedy (fallen empire due to Lawrence's lack of skill as emperor) and tried hard so the citizen wouldn't end up suffering on those two people hand (greedy uncle and incompetent brother)

And yes, their relationshop improved, she didn't reject coldly towards Cedric's act. Although she's a bit awkward at getting a warm vibe as usually she's the one who need to understand her family's attitude toward her
