God! the father really piss me off that he just shamelessly trying to sell her daughter in front of the obviously upset wife and daughter. Though if it were come to light that Rain is the crown prince attendant then he might not have done that.

@doradora honestly, I feel he might have shilled her out harder if he knew. The whole point of arranged marriage is to make a connections, and since almost no noble in their right mind would want the step-child daughter of a prostitute as their bride, making more oblique connections through a chief servant is a lot more plausible.
@Hatyna@effel
Well it isn't like her mother hates her or anything. She actually seems to like her daughter, which is rare for these kind of settings. She likely knows her daughter isn't as well liked by the rest of the family, but also that her current situation is by far better than what it was before or what she could have provide with being a prostitute. She got lucky the man was willing to take responsibility, but she knows it slightly hurt his reputation by doing so. So she cant really object too much, or risk losing it entirely for the both of them (if she were to be divorced). But she knows when to "put the foot down" to keep him somewhat in check, well as best as she can at least.
Aria looks so pretty as an adult, she looks so mature and attractive! Also the count pisses me off. Aria is still his daughter albeit not biologically, how could he offer her, a noble, to a servant??? I'M PISSED, I hated him before but now i truly despises him
