I do think using the hourglass ages her faster, but it's only a little. I assume that each use is five minutes since she lives the same five minutes twice. In the beginning she was using it all the time so together with the extra sleep and puberty, she had a growth spurt that is common at her age. I also think she looks more mature because she's acting, thinking and dressing more maturely.
I think she would need about 8640 uses (total of minutes in a moth divided by 5 minutes) of the hourglass to skip one month forward so using it sparingly like the one time this chapter and the three other at the casino is fine.
Mielle, are you serious?? Though times because you don't have sugar?? It's only the sugar you don't have. You would be completely fine if you ate meals that aren't supposed to be sweet. You might crave cake a bit but you will survive just fine. Unlike the poor people that are going hungry even on regular times. You know, like Aria, who is sitting right on front of you, used to. Even if we consider cultural taste making all their recipes a little sweet, I'm sure they could use plenty of fruits, sweet vegetables and honey to make it better. I wish Aria had called her out even if she used the hourglass later
Aria is such a well written character. I love how its shown she gains the upper hand thru trial and error too. Shes learning and growing from her past life and every single reversal. UGH LOVE IT!! Thanks for the TL!
