Neither should be acceptable, but the brother here is more malevolent than the sister in slow life which is the main difference. It's sibling roughhousing/play from her POV in slow life outside of stealing the occasional cookie. He might disagree, but she doesn't put him through anything that she isn't also capable of dealing with. I'm going to try and not digress further into another series now by pointing out how much almost all of the other characters are human garbage with the ethics of a modern politician.

I can honestly see how Isabella became a villainess. Being treated like that by a shitbag brother with a giant stick firmly lodged in his ass, i'm kinda surprised she was still somewhat sane. I was kinda hoping Isabella would have let rip and taken him down a few pegs because dude's got issues if he treats his 6 year old little sister like that.

I was talking about Tensei Shite Inaka de Slowlife wo Okuritai.
If you know of other mangas you know where the MC wants a slow peacefull life but it is done correctly instead of having the MC being unable to say "no" and being forced into a life of hard work and perceived "happiness" but objective misery I would apreciate if you were to tell me.

I agree with you that they none can be saved in Slow Life but have to disagree on the brother being more "malevolent".
Taking in consideration the sister has max status in everything and what he does are suposed to be punishments for her missbehaviour, with maybe also being training so she learns to control her power since having that much power while being a child can be really dangerous for everyone involved, and your requirement of "put him through anything that she isn't also capable of dealing with" the brother comes out as less abusive than the sister.
As you said, and I agreed, everyone in that story are garbage people that abuse the MC at all chances but that doesn't matter since the problem is the people defending the sister in the coment section there while condemming the brother here. The sister is worse as, so far, most of the abuse from her is underserving while here it seens to be an attempt to have her behave as a noble lady.

@mahtan he was behaving like that before she got maxed out and she's reacting to the memories of what he's done before as depicted this very chapter. Even under the guise of discipline it's over the top abuse and since the depictions are mostly flashbacks it's even divorced from any excuse about it being a twisted form of fair treatment. It's still undeserved abuse and so ridiculous that she has actual trauma preventing her from being able to do what the abuse was supposedly attempting to curtail in the first place. Her japanese memories about following orders are probably the only thing that stop a full blown ptsd disaster where she reflexively uses offensive magic at the sight of him. The sister in slow life is also part baka (and still a child/childish) while the brother here does not seem to have any notable stupidity getting in the way of self realization while also being considered old enough to roughly be considered an adult. It probably helps that the brother and sister in slow life are constantly pranking each other, so it's less mean spirited than being pissed off at a five year old for acting like a five year old. Different power dynamic and all of that.
TLDR. Slow life sister is immature. Abusive brother here is supposed to be mature.
I doubt it's gonna happen but I hope the forced army training backfires on him when the army gets charmed by her cuteness and she starts crying or begging him not to hurt her in front of them to tank his reputation.

Well we don't know if she just got "maxed out" when she recovered the memories or if she was always like that, it is not explained how that came to be we just know she looked at her status one day and they were "maxed out" and knowing she was that strong is the only logical reason I can come up with to submit a child to those things and have that child suvive it without any visible scar, though healing itens could be a thing but it was said the ones the people of that world know off are not that powerfull so it is unlikely.
Also as I said, I in no moment tryed to excuse the brother's actions and recognize them as being abusive and over the top so I don't know what you wanted with writting it like it is a point of contempt since we agree in that point...

Ok her brother.... is straight ASS. How he handles her... gosh, I'm not gonna lie, the last scene was comical... but its completely fcked up. I wonder if he's yandere (I hurt you because I love you) or just plain sadistic. Does he do this stuff to the other siblings? Is this his twisted, fcked up way of showing how much he cares for her? Does he hate her guts? Or does he just not give a shit, so he finds some reason to "justify" punishing her just to fullfill his sadistic kinks? And how does he treat his fiance? Does she know about his hobbies/methods? Or is she just like him?
