The Villainous Daughter’s Butler - I Raised Her to Be Very Cute - Vol. 2 Ch. 5.1 - Dark Guild

@HDMI1 Dark Guild's ledger must look like a giant mess (if they even have one), that's no way to run an organization 😆

Explanation:
Cyril didn't buy 2 sibling but ask for give them as a "gift" and he give those gold coins as "thanks". So he didn't give dark guild any evidence like slave contract.
Cyril said he will make 2 sibling turn into faithfull servants who willn't betray their master so dark guild can't use the parent as bait to get 2 sibling back.

@AnimuHikari thanks for the explanation, I really needed to understand this cuz when he said that the big guy was supposed to understand what he said I was like "what is going on? am I stupid or-"

Those hat on the top left page, it's really weird smh

He certainly expected too much from me. I've no idea what's going on 😅

@JWChibi
That made no sense.
Human trafficking but with morals? I won't sell you the kids if you're going to do something worse to them than what we've done? Does it matter, they're slaves now. Whether it's with the guild or another person they'll never have their freedom back and even if they try to run away they're hunted down
It actually makes a lot of sense. You just need to get rid of our world's logic and be a bit flexible. Which, granted, 90% of MD commenters are unable of.

First off, we don't know the specifics of THIS universe, so I'll speak in broad terms.
Would you say human trafficking is bad? I'm gonna assume you'll say yes. So, did you know about those people during nazi times who smuggled jews and jew kids? Was that bad? I'm gonna assume you'll say no.
Why? They're both human trafficking. "But it's different situations!!". Exactly.
Just like when I say "human trafficking" you read "russian mobster selling kidnapped girls into prostitution", when they say "slaves" you read "treating them as worse than animals, making them sleep on the floor, beating them daily".
But the thing is, that's not necessarily true. A slave COULD be simply a house servant that cannot quit their job and run away on you, and since it'll be a job, the slave will have food, bed and maybe even a salary.

@Tatherwood

Imagine defending imaginary slavery. The act of owning another sapient being is deplorable, regardless of the context or how well they're treated. That's the end of the conversation. This isn't some shit that you can put into perspective. This is a case of two grown adults selling their children into the ownership of a criminal organization to pay a debt.

@Tatherwood Ikr slaver/human trafficking with an extra step to them isn't that far fetch to think about, I mean like wtf Lovecraftian god that control people from the depth of the sea is not far fetch but slavery with an extra step is heresy?
