In regards to the ice crystals being hidden from the emperor. Imo she’s trying to hide her connection to that specific company, like don’t tell other you’re getting special treatment because then they’ll know I’m making money from you. There’s no way to hide them altogether because of the influx of money and production of items, but keeping the actual business deals quiet makes it harder for them to know exactly how much who is making until she can negotiate.

I read the logs too but I was still confused. ahahaha. but it did help to clarify things more. i was confused at how people knew about the mines when i remembered that they were actually keeping it a secret.. but maybe the nobles did come up to conclusions on their own and they probably saw how grand the ball was and the technologies there.
