ON the other hand, from what we know of the whole wavelength thing, it's possible Asashi is physically having a hard time without Ruri, the same way the dragon king was basically unable to do anything just from not meeting her for a few days.

Asashi was with someone of compatible wavelength for the majority of her life, and only recently found out what it was like to live without that person. If the Dragon King gets that dependent from a few days of contact Asashi's probably f-ed up by now.
