The translator is trolling and basically destroying the gyaru’s character. Because in the raws she makes references to authors: instead of Sheldon Plankton she says Kotaro Isaki (a Japanese mystery author) and instead of Gerald of Rivia she says Steven King (US mystery author). So whereas in the TL she comes across as a somewhat dumb girl, in the Japanese original she is book nerd.
