I don't think the mother bringing in her young son has anything to do with reversed morals. At that age it's not unusual for single mothers to bring their kids with them. It happens here in the west too, like a mother might bring her son into the women's bathroom.

Yeah, I can remember being in that position myself at places like a movie theater or such when I was that young. They're not gonna leave you standing around by yourself outside of the women's bathroom, with all those stories they get to hear about people just walking off with other people's kids in crowded public places. Kids that age are dumb enough to follow strangers whether the parents warn them or not.
