I'm not sure if I'm liking the new direction it's going... If I was writing it, I'm sure I'd have made a lot of different choices for, at least Kanzaki. I think it'd have been more interesting that, instead of following the dj, we could have seen something more realistic. I've binged read it all today, and the change of tone is dramatic. It had already changed before, but towards a more developed plot instead of a slice of life.

The thing I was liking the most about this manga was Ichikawa, I found her a very unique MC and very likable. While they continue to treat her well, I'll keep reading it.

If they don't change anything from the dj, the story will end too quickly, and it's a shame, because I'm seeing a lot of potential in it. I'd rather have seen Kanzaki and Ichikawa form a stronger bond due to Kawashima's disappearence. Or Kanzaki tolds Ichikawa what Kawashima is doing and they help her and give her advice. Or maybe (and it can still happen - but I'm sure it won't) seeing Ichikawa falling for a guy. This is a manga, not a dj, so I expect a more developed storyline. Not just a total fuck up of the suspension of disbelieve, where Kanzaki just straight out asks alt-MC to fuck without any inch of hesitation...

I'm probably overthinking it, but I think this series has a great potential and I was really liking the characters. But I'm not sure I like the way it's going. It's... dissapointing.
 
I strongly agree with R0aX and have not much to add. Kanzaki is a very likable character. Her being pervy is funny, but don't want to see her ending fucked up. I hope Ichikawa rescues her in this storyline somehow in next chapter (before the alt-mc gets on her) and they form a stronger bond.
 
@hc I think you're starting to forget what a different world they live in. Imagine the following situation for a second: your past teen self gets an easy opportunity to get laid, but a friend of yours shows up and ruins it for no conceivable reason. Would you tearfully thank them for denying you a good time and form a stronger bond with them? I think not.
 
You may not want to believe it but alot of people in high school paid to get laid (not me that for sure)

It just a fact.
 
I can't imagine this situation, because it is too unrealistic. If it continues, it loses the aspect of being relatable. Also it would be a copy of the dj with what, better design? Believe it or not, you had more second thoughts as a teen for to easily hump your classmate or even pay them for that. Kanzaki expresses some in the panels too.
 
Hopefully Ichikawa can save this from just being a rehash, a rehash with some great faces but a boring rehash nonetheless.
 
While I strongly agree that I'd rather this not just simply turn into the doujin rehash, I have to say I don't think this'll last as long as people think it will. I think the most painful thing about this is how slow the releases are, so what we're dreading this turning into is probably only gonna last a few more chapters until we finally get back to Ichikawa's perspective. Of course I don't know this for certain, but judging how long we wait to read each chapter, I'm guessing that's a big factor into people's worries.

With that being said, I really do wish they found some way to give Ichikawa the most screen-time during all this. Alt-MC is fine, and he had his spotlight in the doujin but I really do love Ichikawa a lot more. Something about her spin on all this being a lot more wholesome is somehow even funnier. It's like a strange tragic comedy where she's hates the world she's stuck in, but doomed to go back (judging if reverse Ichikawa's already made as much progress as Alt-MC in this world).
And then she manages to pull off becoming even MORE of a wholesome character by hilariously finding various activities to distract her from the living nightmare she now lives in.

If I had to take a wild guess on where I REALLY think this is going, I'm willing to bet that just like in the doujin, Alt-MC will get comfortable screwing all the girls he wants without having to worry and then makes his move on Ichikawa. Of course Ichikawa being the main difference between this and the doujin, she probably breaks Alt-MC out of his comfort zone and makes him panic like hell.
Where it goes from there, I couldn't say but it'd be fun if it just turned into a slice of life gone mind games where the two continue to have really awkward interactions...
 
I'm surprised people like Ichikawa so much. I've been really enjoying this since the 1st chapter but she was always the weakest part to me. She just seems like a "bland" killjoy to me, being the equivalent of the useless harem MC who doesn't actually do anything with the situation he's been given and just tries to avoid it. She's still more likeable than most of those types, but I honestly enjoy seeing her friends more.

On the other hand, this is our first look at FemMC's perverted other self. It's safe to assume that she really became a thot in the other world.

yeah, at this point its better if she never goes back to her original world, the covers have painted a very nasty picture.

still wanna see lewd Ichikawa in other world even though I can guess what has happened to her...
