The Young Lady I Served Became a Young Master

@azure_1802 be warned spoilers ahead (but not true spoilers), I checked novelupdates' page to see if the novel version was translated ( the title there is 'The Lady I Served Became The Master' btw) and it had the tag genderless protagonist so..... Things may not be so straightforward anymore
This is one of the rare manhwa I would patiently wait for chapters to accumulate and not go out hunting for spoilers. It's that good. Translation's team THANKS FOR THE GREAT JOB
 
Pretty interesting plot so far. And I'm glad the heroine doesn't look too stupid... (unlike a certain Ibee I know of...)
 
It basically plagiarized Duke's Maid in terms of setting with a few tweaks to the story, I do like it though so bring moar please~
I do hope for a thicker plot in future release though...
 
@Happilicious You can find the english translations from chapter 3-24 on youtube (channel: NoBody) or instagram posts (#theladyiservedhasbecomethemaster) . Only issue is that there are some grammatical errors. And tbh, I like blaire's character more than Ibee.
 
I do agree that this manhwa is very similar to "I Became the Duke's maid" since there are a lot of elements that the two manhwas share.
1.
both Ibee and Blair are older than the male leads
2.
both male leads were cast aside by their families and faced malnutrition and lack of care from the maids/servants
3.
the male leads both open up to the main characters because they are kind to them and show them a new world
4.
the main characters both thought that they wouldn't fall in love with the male leads (in Ibee's case, she only wanted Al to live a happy life, and at first she only saw him as a young child who was pitiful; in Blair's case, she thought that the male lead was a female, so she never thought that she would fall in love with him.
5.
both main characters were "fired" from their jobs as maids

however, I still think that there is a lot of potential with the new manhwa since it shows that the male lead, Claude, may have more things up his sleeve. Especially since
he could deduce that Blair had eaten skewers before returning to his room. I think that is quite key since it sounded impossible for him to know what skewers are unless he has seen/eaten them before, which isn't likely is he was shown to be malnourished at the beginning of the manhwa, so I think that he snuck out with her secretly, but as a boy in order for people not to know.

Again, I think that this manhwa had quite a lot of potential, and that the story will later be one of a kind. Hoping that it will not disappoint!!!!

I'm enjoying this and hope it gets better, ideally with the FTM route they're implying with the first chapter but rrrrghghhaaaaaahhhhh😡 @ this being a flashback-in-a-flashback/dream/whatever, like I GET making the reveal in the first chapter, even if we likely won't see the setup to it for a while, but going back to when they're friends, THEN going back to the beginning of the story? reeeeeee @ writers tell your stories in order damn it
 
ive read this and love it a lot, but this feels like a lot of steps to a “straight” relationship. i’d be more interested in how the young lady was able to defeat her family and become the head herself, instead of her having to become a man in order to do these things. who knows the story might end up being better but from the 6 chapters that what i see happening.

that and i just want one of these well drawn medieval isekai manhwas to have gay girls. makes the story a bit more unique and a lil representation never hurt nobody!
 
Now I’m really confused. Is Chloe actually a guy? FTM Trans? Was it just a dream and she’s a girl but just cross dresses to take over the Duchy?

so, I assume male? based on the first chapter. Novelupdates says genderless, but I think that the webcomic may go in a different direction. Also, Blair mentions that she never read the end of the original light novel, so I think the author probably added the twist later on. Hope this helped!
 
Ooooh this looks interesting, plus I got a few theories myself! I'm just gonna tag it as a spoiler just in case...

I think that Chloe is being forced to crossdress by their family because the father (or even mother) don't want them having a chance at inheriting anything like the father's noble title or estate. Since they already have a more 'legitimate' son and don't want any competition to happen between them. Also Chloe may even be used as a bargaining chip to increase status and wealth which may explain the change in behavior from the father later on. It might also explain the love interests.
 
Why's the new chapter still not up? It says it's already been 9 hours. I know a bit about new uploads and all that, but it's from the same groups that made another 5 chapters tho?
