There's No Way I Can Have a Lover! *Or Maybe There Is!? - Vol. 1 Ch. 4

Well played mai!!well played*v*.
I'm glad she blocked her attempt kiss.and I like how mai didn't forced her on it.
A kiss on the nose is sweeeeeet ❤❤❤
Now let's see until when sho could do that when mai always plays smoooth.*v*

Thank you for the translations😇💓

I guess I'm the only one who hates cocky characters like Mai and hope that they don't become lovers at the end... also she shouldn't be forcing her into kissing when she clearly doesn't want it.

@Zhulok I'm with you on this one, I really don't like how Mai acts and treats Renako.

Even if Mai doesn't understand it, there is a problem in how she's so pushy and makes Renako feel insecure.

it's annoying to see mai being so pushy
this kind of character make me want to puke

NGL BUT I THINK HAVING A BESTFRIEND IS BETTER THAN HAVING A LOVER. NOT LIKE I HAVE A FRIEND OR EVEN LOVER NOR BESTFRIEND TO BEGIN WITH LMAO

lovers should be bestfriends also; i like that she teases, and doesn't over step the line. this manga is cute

Ahh yes, the game is rigged.
If you would put what lovers do and what best friends do into a set, everything that a best friend would do is also part of what lovers do. But there are things lovers do but not friends. To conceptulize it even further, lovers completely enlopes best friends, with nice extras such as sexual intimacy.

Or whatever? Maybe I am just unwise, talking as if I had the experience. I never had a lover or a best friend. Critic welcome.

Thanks for the chapter! One thing, on page 4 last bubble, Renako says "胃に穴が 空くわ!", Literally, it translated to "This makes a hole in my stomach!". But it's a Japanese proverb about how frustrating it is to be at a low economical state despite the efforts you made. She's basically emphasizing their differences in status and wealth.

@AlexEliot

Hi, thanks for your comment. I asked our translator and he'd like to know the source of your interpretation.

@Mai88 When I was translating it I was also confused. My only source is a more experienced translator than me, who lives in Japan. Relaying the response when I asked him: "What it actually means is: 'I'm terribly stressed over not being to produce any results despite all of the efforts.'. 胃 is usually a metaphor (an old one) for accumulating wealth, and 胃に穴が 空く means no money were accumulated no matter how much come in."

@voidox
Apparently
Satsuki wants to get Renako to date her as revenge for something Mai does, I'm guessing it's one of those "fake girlfriend with ulterior motive actually develops feelings for real" cliches you sometimes see in rabucome
