Still find it funny that people here cant accept that the company has some shitty system. Not all company is up to date really, and some still using older version of OS for multitude of reason. Heck even SONY does not encrypt user PW which lead to mass leak a while back. Outdated and incompetent stuff in IT is a thing, might be rarer nowadays but it still exist.

If you were able to do that on your first day and the company had no backups, you might be getting sued but you sure as hell aren't going to be found liable for everything. Furthermore, you're an employee of the company, so they'd have to prove you did it intentionally because otherwise they'd be liable anyways because they failed to train you properly.
