@Walter_vi_Britannia Maybe a test that had essay questions on it. Not being able to correct spelling & grammar mistakes in your essay answers could lead to losing points.

@manabi Why not just cut it? During the days when we were not allowed to use pens, I still used to cut every mistake because I was too lazy to grab an eraser. The teachers hated me for it, but they really couldn't cut points for that. I mean, if you know you made a mistake in an essay, you wouldn't leave it, right? You'd at least think to cut it.
