I get it now! The artstyle decline is a meta-representation of Francesca's deteriorating mental state as a result of Kaya's mindgames.
That or the Yakuza broke the author's dominant drawing arm for introducing a wholly unnecessary girl, forcing the author to use his other non-dominant arm.
