This Villainess Wants a Divorce! - Vol. 2 Ch. 45

I'm touched for his sacrifice but gosh, tell me he has a plan or faked it. Please tell me you have a plan! tELL ME YOU HAVE A FUCKING PLAN- .˚‧º·(ฅдฅ。)‧º·˚.

I think a few commenters have nailed it. The wine isn't poisoned, the queen let Canaria think that to test her, but not actually poison Cesar. Which means Cesar doubling over is the giveaway that Canaria told him :;

I exactly think the same things that Stormdragon.
Cesar had to drink since it will fool the queen and protect Canaria. Plus it can give him some leverage power later (cause it's an attempted murder on a royal person) and Canaria will probably nurse him back to health. Still a gamble with his life though. But as a main character, he can't really die right ? x) But I really like that he's the one who choose to drink.

@ The theory that its a double trap, it would only depend on Cesar's level of perception. If he drank it and felt the poison, than he isn't acting poisoned. But if he doesn't feel poison, than he shouldn't do a sham acting.

It likely could be a double trap, but that really depends if Cesar is "acting" like he's poisoned or if he really is poisoned. If he is only acting, then its a dumb move on his part, since he doesn't really need to act poisoned whether it is poisoned or not.

Considering the Queens aversion to using poison, the likely hood of it being a double trap is high.

What if that wine wasn’t poisoned, queen just wanted to test Canaria and Cesar stupidly pretended to be poisoned because he thought it was poisoned. Well it can’t be like this though, if it is it will be huge mess hahahaha😂

that's some big ball move right there
i don't think cesar pretend to be poisoned since it's too risky
at this point cesar will do everything and anything just for canaria uwu

Where is my cliché where the heroine drink first the wine to sacrifice herself?
In an alternate universe where she dies like an idiot after spending years just trying to survive?

So she was able to quickly figure out that the empress was testing her, but not that her actions changed the novel storyline and that the prince was in love with her 😩. I guess it's all part of the trope😪
