They're usually naive and blinded thinking they're above everything behind the protection of their husband the rulers who will take care of everything if it gets too out of hand, so they really don't care about the country cause they're not the ones managing it, but they still want to stand high and have their children succeed. So that ends up leading them to half-assedly make changes without noticing that they're disrupting the balance that way, cause they think upholding the other side of that balance is someone else's work.
