So to clarify, the people from the kingdom were originally ugly, obese, etc. So she casted a spell when she was younger to make everyone beautiful and easier on her eyes. Only the king and queen knew the truth from what I can read. And she was bound by marriage and could not leave the kingdom until someone other than she broke it off. This is kind of like Cinderella's twelve o'clock breaking spell where beauty changes back what was originally. Just think if someone casted an spell that always make you beautiful no matter, so you would eat or do things to your body that will normally harm your body then the spell would just end and become what happens.

@NoireNowaru It really was rapid-fire, shallow-as-hell self-indulgent fantasy. I mean, even more so than the otome/villainess stuff we usually read. This has about the same amount of shame/self-awareness as somebody yelling about "culture" their fetishes in public.

The quality of this anthology is rapidly dwindling, and the plot just keeps getting even more shallow. Previously it was a plot straight out of pornhub with a stepson waiting for his father to die so he could do his stepmom, now it's a girl who got her revenge by making her enemy realize how ugly the people around her are and how super good looking her guy was. Lol, some shoujo manga this is.
