It's an anthology where every chapter is a different story so the quality goes up and down. Mixed bag all around. They're serious about skipping the first one (apparently it sucks) but that's not the only one I'd have marked "skip".

Honestly, while I'd like to tell you, your tastes may be different than mine, so I can't exactly say what you would and wouldn't like and why.

V1 Ch4 and V2 Ch2 were both too dark for me, and I didn't enjoy them. Honestly, I've basically dropped this series, so I didn't go much further than that. I got tired of the repetitive themes, especially with no recurring characters (who can grow, and in situations that change) and decided not to continue this series. The lack of ability to do much in the short space provided limits a lot of one-shots, and I'm honestly not a fan of most one-shots in general due to that.

Not much time for subtlety or development, so they have to go for a big shock or sudden change in order to get a quick "payoff" since there's often no chance for followup.

If that was true (which it was for women back in the day, same for the men, but it wasn't that severe, and same can be said for those living in the middle east and in other countries), then in today's standards, everyone will be punished for their adultery, since relationships in modern times is more free and relaxed, than times of the past were. People will cheat and/or fall out of love, so it's best to not let it be a crime, since that is not something that would be against another person's rights, it's only a crime on morals which everyone's morals are different. But today's laws help in settling matters between couples that are married and if not married, but feel like you wasted your time on the relationship, you can always sue, that is another way to settle things. Or another way is learning from the experience and moving on from your life, not looking back and being bitter on the past.

I really enjoyed reading this, just people getting what they want or people expressing themselves truthfully is always a pretty sight. Especially when it's such a drawn out genre as Otome and reincarnation/taking the body of someone in a Otome game. Very short multiple stories with similar settings, just a fun little read.
