@awesomegb the first few chapters were the past and it was supposed to be about the current time period so when they're adults.
From what I gathered so far, the FL and the ML seems to have liked each other and probably dated. The second FL likes the ML. I presume something bad happen to the main FL for her to vanish from his life. We'll see later in the series hopefully it'll be explained.

Thank you @NibbPower, that explained a lot. I was a bit confused as the story felt like it was all over the place and I couldn't get the correlation. I hope I can understand more of the story as it goes on
