Tired of Reading About Others Spring B/c I haven’t had one

Essentially as the title said, I’m a lonely gal that reads too much romance and a sucker for kdrama and anime so I’m just not getting my spring of life. No longer even in Highschool so not even in that youth phase and tha pandemic making it worst. Just wanted to rant. If you’re experiencing that same, “HELLO FELLOW PERSON!”

@Teddy I know and I’m honestly not even asking for all that (sometimes it’s way too much）but I don’t know. I just want some spring in my life so I can have some pep in my step in relations to that area of life.

Plenty people I know never had any of those experiences in high school. It's actually pretty common.

All we can really do is improve ourselves so that we're in decent positions to actually meet and grow closer to potential partners.

I had a very short one and when I remember that time, it feels like a dream and a nightmare at the same time, it was a rough period.

@Richman sound like an epic experience. Most of my would of could of been springs just wilted too quickly because if various reasons so I couldn’t even get serious to the point I wanting to make anything of it,

Yeah, having places you can socialize (like school or work) are the biggest things imo. Frequenting certain places related to your interests can't hurt either. Being in a relationship carries its own difficulties though, so it's important to keep in mind that merely finding someone isn't the endgame (presumably).

First step would probably involve finding a like-minded group for an interactive hobby you enjoy. Preferably one that isn't full of creeps. Discord/Reddit/Facebook are usually good places to start looking. I'm in facebook groups for podcasts I like that are also about the hobbies I enjoy. I would probably be in discord channels if I actually did discord.

I’m expecting to never find any real connection in romance So I guess I’m technically asexual not that I wouldn’t mind having a girl friend or boyfriend. I’ve still got two more schools to go through tho

Reading some of y’all replies makes me sad. But can’t even go an interact with people due to location lockdown. Hopefully after. I don’t even know anymore.

Tried reading stuff other than romance and it’s ok...

Guess I’ll just get my spring when the world isn’t to sh it any more.

I'm often a dense, late bloomer who may have missed most of my mini-Springs. While not a "true Spring" as in manga, I've found that changing my perspective and perception on things has done some good for me in the past. Also, when things seem to be going well for me, I've learned that I have to work hard to maintain the positive momentum. And, finally, in my experience, just waiting for something to change is, more often than not, just a waste of my time; it's better to take care of the things that I can when I can, even if I have to wait for the other stuff. Good luck and please don't lose hope! I'll root for you :)
