today's idle translation thought -
at the end of this chapter, qu meimei's friend tells her that 'meimei, i really think you've gotten yourself stuck on this.' the actual term she uses here is 钻牛角尖, which literally means you've crawled into the tip of a bull's horn. like, you've overthought this so hard that you're basically stuck in a dead end now.
i couldn't think of a succinct way to translate this (and i still don't like my final product!), so in a fit of anger i threw it into google translate. and as expected, google translate totally disappointed, because it gives me 'horny.' line takes on a totally different meaning if you replace it with 'meimei, i think you're really horny...'

I think the phrase in translation thoughts work, but I can see how some idiom would work better. However, those I thought of first were swedish so they would not work... But maybe 'Meimei, you should see where the wind blows.' or 'Meimei, your getting into deep waters' or 'Meimei, your way over your head'. But I don't know since I don't translate... So no need to consider these from an amateur ^^

Your pride??? Tf? Why do ppl think meeting someone first has any correlation whatsoever with who that person can hang out with? You have no rights over who he chooses to be with just cuz you met him first. Like y'all arent even FRIENDS, who do you think you are to get all possessive over him?
